You may remember this beautiful family from their fall family session. I saw them just a month or so later for Amanda’s maternity session.
This was going to be the first maternity session I have done where the family already had a child, and Oliver is about two and a half. I wanted to come up with an idea for the session that would be fun for him and would show the family engaged together, celebrating the new baby that was on his way. Amanda just happens to be a friend of mine, so I wasn’t timid at all about saying, “Hey, I’ve got this idea for your maternity session. Can we paint your belly?” Thankfully she thought it was a great idea so we did it!
It turned out to be one of my very favorite sessions I have ever done. It was a gray, drizzly morning a few days before Christmas and the light coming in the windows was just awesome. Plus Amanda is straight up gorgeous, and her husband and son adore her, so it made my job incredibly easy :)
Oliver’s little brother Elliott arrived a few weeks ago (and I got to do his newborn photos too!), and now this amazing family of three is now a gorgeous family of four.
