I love me some babies. My very favorite age to photograph is brand new – itty bitty newborns, just a couple of weeks old. That stage is so fleeting and wondrous , and I get lost in the tiny perfection of them. But I have to say, I recently photographed a handful of three and four month olds, and I had an absolutely fabulous time.
One of those beautiful babes is little Lennon here. She was just about three and a half months old at our session and she is perfect. Wide-eyed and curious, and I just love the eye contact and interaction I was having with her. Her mom and dad just adore her, and they are such a gorgeous family!
I have many people ask me what a “good age” for photos is, and the answer is, “whatever age your baby is right this moment”. Just because your baby is past the typical “7-14 day” mark for traditional newborn photos doesn’t mean that you can’t have beautiful photos of them at four or five weeks, or even eight weeks. Every stage in their first year is a great time to make some memories!
