Welcome 2015 and an Announcement! – {Woodland Hills Newborn Photographer}

2014 was quite a year for me and my family. A lot of really wonderful things happened – we moved to a beautiful new home, our eldest daughter graduated preschool and started kindergarten, we adopted a sweet new dog, both my husband and I had great years with our businesses.

It was just that some of those wonderful things HAPPENED ALL AT ONCE. We moved right in the middle of my busy season, which was also right when we were trying to transition our youngest daughter into day care (so that I could actually manage my busy season without trying to edit with a toddler on my lap!). The second half of the year was extremely stressful. I don’t think I have ever been so exhausted in my entire life.

These last couple of weeks have been just what the doctor ordered. My husband has been on break as well, and we have just been hanging out at home, seeing family and friends, sleeping late, watching movies, it’s heavenly! The girls go back to school on Monday, hubby goes back to work, and so do I. I am already fully booked for January (!) and have lots of ideas up my sleeve for this year.

The biggest change for Miranda Corbell Photography this year is that starting today, January 1, 2015, I am going to be specializing in maternity, newborns, and babies up to age two. In the last four and a half years of being in business, I have come to learn that my heart is really the fullest and my work is the best when I am photographing families as they welcome a new baby into their lives. There is so much joy and hope, even in amidst the sleepless nights and diaper changes, the emotion and love just naturally overflows, and I love to be there to help create memories of that precious time.

I will still absolutely work with families who I have worked with in the past. I am super attached to you all now and won’t let you go (ha)! For new families with older kids who are interested in booking a session, I have just the person to refer you to, don’t hesitate to ask!

Thank you, everyone, for making 2014 such a great year! I can’t wait to see what 2015 brings.
