This week’s favorite photo is a great example (to me) of how you don’t need the highest end camera made in order to take a beautiful, meaningful photo that captures a perfect moment. I took this photo with my iPhone one night this week while my husband was reading our daughter a bedtime story. This photo is a bit grainy, and a bit out of focus but I don’t care. I just love it. I look at it and marvel at how fast she is growing, what a wonderful husband and father he is, and how much I adore them both
 Hooray! She’s here! You may remember Jason and Leanna from their maternity photo session back in April. Well, their beautiful baby girl, Taya, arrived on Cinco de Mayo! She is SO DARN SWEET. Full head of dark hair, delicate little features, and nary a fuss the whole time. She just snoozed or gazed at me while I snapped away. And her mom and dad are just so in love with their little beauty. I love seeing a new family so happy Congratulations, you guys. I am so thrilled for you and can’t wait to see you again!

Great images! Love love love the last ones! This past weekend we went to Las Vegas for my father in law’s birthday. I wasn’t sure what Vegas with a toddler was going to be like, but luckily there are quite a few things that my daughter really enjoyed. Her favorite was the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. They have this great exhibit that is like a big walk-through tunnel where you are surrounded by water on all sides, and she just loved watching the sharks and fish swim all around her I think this face says it all:
