Every year for the past eight or nine years my parents have rented a beach house in Malibu for a week in August.  It is a great time to be able to hang out as a family in a beautiful setting.

My daughter has just started to develop a love for the beach and the ocean, and man does she love her Grammie and P-Pa.  The other night we went for a walk on the beach after dinner and I snapped this photo of them together.  It just melts my heart :)

Linda Molyneux - Miranda, these are beautiful shots! What time of day did you take them? The lighting in both on FB is just perfect. Looks like you had such a wonderful time all together. Love to you all.

miranda - Aww, thanks! It was just after dinner, so around 6-6:30 or so I think. xoxo

I was SO EXCITED to do this session.  Little Keegan here is the brand new baby brother of Addison, one of my daughter’s good friends, and I count their mama Nikki as one of my best mom friends.  Nikki and her husband Troy are the coolest, and great parents.  Addy and Keegan are very lucky to have them!

Keegan is just the mellowest little dude, with the awesomest eight day old mohawk you’ve ever seen :)  He was working his “Brown Steel” look with those gorgeous eyes, and was just perfectly content to lay there while I snapped away.  Then after a snack he took a little snooze, and we got to pull out the surfboard :)  Keegan has a surf-themed room, and Troy was eager to see if we could get some shots of him on the surfboard.  Luckily Keegan was feeling nice and full and sleepy, so he didn’t even notice!  I love these shots, they are some of my very favorites to date.

Congratulations, Nikki, Troy and Addy!  Keegan is a wonderful addition to your family, and Áine and I can’t wait to get to know him as he grows up!

This week’s theme on “I Heart Faces” is ‘beautiful eyes’.  Well, I know I am super biased, but I think my daughter’s eyes are the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.  And her eye lashes go on for DAYS.  I have many photos of her big gorgeous baby blues but wanted to submit something a bit different for the photo challenge – a picture that highlights those amazing lashes.  Enjoy!

I am so thrilled to announce that I am now offering custom picture frames from The Organic Bloom!  These are hand made, custom painted frames available in sixteen different whimsical shapes with an astounding fifty four beautiful colors to choose from.  Every color of the rainbow, available in any size you could want, from 2×3 inch ornaments to enormous 30×40 inch wall frames.

Organic Bloom frames aren’t available in stores.  You can only find them through approved professional photographers, and I am proud to be one of them!  The quality of these frames is amazing, and I haven’t seen anything else like them out there.

They are so striking when hanging on your wall in a large size like a 12×12 or 11×14 (see the orange and pink frames above), or if you want a little “Bloom” on your desk, I also offer wire easels with smaller single frame styles like these 5×7 frames in the photo above.

But wait, there’s more!!  Check out the Double Stack and Twin Double Stack styles:

And with the ability to choose your colors, the possibilities are nearly endless.

Because I am so excited about these beautiful new frames, I’m holding a little drawing.  If you book a session with me between today and next Wednesday August 15 (session to take place anytime before the end of the year), you will be entered into a drawing for an 8×10 Organic Bloom frame of your choice!  You choose the style and the color, and I’ll even throw in a print from your session to go in the frame ;)
