Waiting for Elliott – {Sherman Oaks Maternity Photographer}

You may remember this beautiful family from their fall family session. I saw them just a month or so later for Amanda’s maternity session.

This was going to be the first maternity session I have done where the family already had a child, and Oliver is about two and a half. I wanted to come up with an idea for the session that would be fun for him and would show the family engaged together, celebrating the new baby that was on his way. Amanda just happens to be a friend of mine, so I wasn’t timid at all about saying, “Hey, I’ve got this idea for your maternity session. Can we paint your belly?” Thankfully she thought it was a great idea so we did it!

It turned out to be one of my very favorite sessions I have ever done. It was a gray, drizzly morning a few days before Christmas and the light coming in the windows was just awesome. Plus Amanda is straight up gorgeous, and her husband and son adore her, so it made my job incredibly easy

Oliver’s little brother Elliott arrived a few weeks ago (and I got to do his newborn photos too!), and now this amazing family of three is now a gorgeous family of four.

Leanna and Jason – {Sherman Oaks Maternity Photographer}

I had a lovely time with Leanna and Jason at our session a couple weeks ago! They are expecting their baby girl in just a couple weeks! We met at one of my favorite parks, which just happens to be one of Leanna’s favorites as well.

These guys are great. They make each other laugh constantly, and Leanna has the brightest, most beautiful smile ever. They are so excited to meet their little girl! She is a lucky little girl to be born into a family so full of love and joy Congratulations you two!

Heidi & Mike – {Redondo Beach Maternity Photographer}

I had the immense pleasure of meeting Heidi and her husband Mike at the pier in Redondo Beach a couple of weeks ago. It was a gorgeous day, not a cloud in the sky. They are expecting their baby boy next month! After shooting on the beach, we went back to their house and took some pictures there.

It was so lovely, getting to spend time with them. The connection between them is so clear, the excitement they have for their growing family and the love they have for each other. Best wishes, you two! Congratulations!

Jen, Frank and Maya – {Los Angeles Maternity Photographer}

I know I’m not allowed to play favorites. I love all the families and people that have granted me the privilege of photographing them. But I have to say, the session I had with Jen, Frank and Maya has got to be one of my favorites so far. They were so welcoming to me, so easy to work with, so full of warmth and love for each other. Their little boy is due in November, and they are so excited for their growing family.

Jen is a yoga instructor and she had the absolutely awesome idea of doing some yoga poses to accentuate her belly. Maya got in on the fun as well

Diedre and Mike – {Los Angeles Maternity Photographer}

I met Diedre and Mike for an early morning session at one of my favorite spots this weekend. Their little girl is due next month!

These two were great. They have such a wonderful time together – the whole time they were laughing and joking, and so excited for their growing family. The belly kiss was Mike’s idea, and it was just too cute And Diedre was just glowing, so beautiful and happy.

Janett – {Los Angeles Maternity Photographer}

Yesterday I had the privilege of doing my very first maternity session with the very beautiful Janett! I was introduced to Janett by Elizabeth, Jenny’s mom. We had never met before, but she greeted me with a big hug and gorgeous smile.

Janett is so excited about the arrival of her son, due in October. She talked about her husband and stepdaughters with such warmth and love, and about how excited she is to bring her son into their family. She is going to be such a great mom
