Welcome Skye! – {Pasadena Newborn Photographer}

I met little baby Skye, her beautiful big sister Solara and their family on a rainy day in January. Skye was eight days old and although I tried all my tricks – nice warm room, swaddling, shushing, keeping her belly full – she wasn’t much interested in sleeping by herself so I could get those nice curled up newborn poses. She much preferred being cuddled by her mama or her big sister. So we improvised and changed the focus of the session to the family and their excitement and wonder over their newest addition. Solara was so sweet and gentle with Skye, I can tell she is going to be a great friend to her little sis :)

I loved capturing the photos of the family all together. The joy on mama Dominique’s face as she looks at her two girls is so beautiful.
