I absolutely loved meeting Sheena and Phillip and their brand new baby girl, Elessandra (Ele). She was just about one month old when we did our session last January and that meant big beautiful wide eyes and even teeny little smiles for mama and papa. Sheena and Phillip were easy-going, relaxed, and so happy with their beautiful daughter.
The more I photograph slightly older newborns (around four or five weeks) the more I fall in love with this age. They are really starting to take in the world around them and you get the feeling that they are really seeing you. Ele liked to turn towards the window and look out at the light, and her brown eyes calmly took in her mom and dad as they held her and talked to her.
